Get Curious 🌱 winter rituals for mind and body

Welcome to 2025! We would like to first say that our hearts go out to all of the people impacted by the California wildfires. While we may not be there, we have friends and family deeply impacted by the fires. Hug your loved ones and remember that life is precious and community is what really matters during these tough times.

A perspective by Tekisha Harvey

Let’s be honest: giving up alcohol is tough, especially when you love a good cocktail. For me, the allure of heading to a bar, chatting with regulars, or meeting new people is almost irresistible. It was easy to justify enjoying a cocktail or two after a long day.

However, something shifted recently. As I entered my mid-40s, I started feeling the physical toll of frequent drinking: dehydration, fatigue, weight gain etc. Combined with the ongoing stress of life, I came to the realization that it was time to take a break.

So, this year, I decided to take on Dry January. Now, one week in, I’m feeling surprisingly great. But, of course, as a cocktail lover, the challenge was finding satisfying alternatives.

Here are some tips I’ve learned along the way to help survive (and even enjoy) Dry January without feeling like you’re missing out.

The Skin-Boosting Magic of Garshana and Abhyanga

Did you know your skin, the body’s largest organ, is not just your outer shield but also a mirror of your internal well-being? Enter dry brushing, or garshana (pronounced gar-shun-uh)—an ancient Ayurvedic ritual that invites vitality, flow, and self-love into your daily routine, especially during the winter months when our bodies need a little extra TLC.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of connection, empowerment, and fun at our women-only Galentine’s Dinner in Fort Lauderdale, Florida! This intimate gathering celebrates friendship and community while offering opportunities for education, connection, and meaningful conversations.

Attendees will enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in a cozy, intimate setting and engage in an enlightening talk with Dr. Suzanne Mulvehill exploring the fascinating connection between female orgasm and cannabis.
